Hello everyone,

I have decided to let my previous blog utahphillips.blogspot stand as a memorial blog that spans February 2008, the month dad entered the hospital until May 2010, the two year mark of his death and not post to it anymore. Instead, I will maintain this blog in conjunction with The Long Memory website in an effort to keep folks up to date with current projects and events involving dad's work.

Next Thursday July 29, there will be a fundraising event for our tribute CD project at Ken Sanders Rare Books here in Salt Lake City. Ken was an old friend my fathers and has offered to republish dad's original song book "Starlight on the Rails " Our CD will be released as a companion to the song book and the songs that we are doing on the CD that aren't in the song book we add to it.

We are also working on booking some house concerts and small gigs to coincide with the CD release in January 2011. If anyone is interested in hosting a event in January or February 2011 drop me a line and lets talk. It will most likely be my self, Kate MacLeod and possibly a couple of other musicians from the CD, depending on everyones schedule.
